Some pairs may be marked with a white cross on the toe. This has been done by the Austrian Army. This can easily be removed with some isopropanol or WD40 and then polished up.

Grades:
- Grade 1: Used condition, soles have minimal wear and leather in good condition. Leather may have a few scuff marks around the toe.
- Grade 2: Heavier wear on the soles, with thinning of the soles especially at the heel region. Leather still in good condition and may have a few scuff marks around the toes area.
